Jerry Brignola......Rhythm Guitar/Vocals
I grew up in the 60’s and although the “British Invasion” was the music of my time, the sweet harmonies and messages from the music of the 50’s became a favorite of mine.
My life-long association with music began when I picked up my first guitar at a friend’s house in 1963 and began to play by “ear.” I played in several junior high and high school bands and then with a “Wedding Band” for ten years. When the leader of that band moved to the Florida Keys, the band broke up and another ten years went by before my longtime
friend and one of the originator’s of Reminisce, Joe Gilligan called. Although we talked often, when I picked up the phone this time, I had the feeling that the call would have something to do with a band. Many years ago, Joe and I were in a band together and I knew he never let the idea of doing it again out of his thoughts. Sure enough, that was the reason for the call. I told him I had been singing with the church choir in the interim, but was more than ready for a “band gig.” Joe and a couple of other guys, (Del Gomillion was one of them) were “messing around” in the basement singing 50’s songs and Joe said he knew someone who could play the guitar; thus the phone call to me. Little by little we added vocalists and musicians to the band and have evolved into what we are today. We play and interact like “family” with one another and are always anxious to add to our “family of fans.” So come on in! Join us for a journey thru time!! You’ll have the time of your life!!!
